Mylan Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:MYL) announced today that it has received final approval to manufacture and market Terazosin Hydrochloride Capsules in 1mg, 2mg, 5mg, and 10mg strengths.
Terazosin is the generic equivalent to Hytrin(R), an alpha-1-selective adrenoceptor blocking agent manufactured and marketed by Abbott Laboratories Inc.
The product is indicated for the treatment of symptomatic Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH). It is also indicated for the treatment of hypertension.
The product is being manufactured in Mylan’s Morgantown, West Virginia facility. Shipment is beginning immediately.
