My big break came when I attached a clothespin to a water balloon. Voila! The Hytrin ad.

The routine - or the threat of the routine.
Q: Who do you admire most in advertising?
The person who can do what I can’t. That would be a great copywriter.
Q: What is the view outside your office?
The Hotel Monaco. Shows start at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.
Q: What books are you reading?
NIL: A Land Beyond Belief. I’ve only read the cover. It’s still shrink-wrapped, but I love the cover art. Also, Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.

It starts with a large body count - often over 80. When you have 80 “creatives” working on something, you see a broad range of the good, bad and unique. We shoot for the latter and many times get it.
